I was born in 1964 in Recife and very early on I noticed my particular interest in painting .
But only in 2004 did I really try to paint for the first time .
As a starter , my first ideas were abstract and geometric forms. Slowly these forms began to develop into defined figures and so I discovered I was inclined to do figurative painting .

In March of 2005 I started taking painting classes at Museu do Estado de Pernambuco ,
with artist Mariza Varella who helped me with painting and drawing. She always allowed me to feel very free in the process . Little by little , I find my own style . That was the year of Fauvism´s centenary . Matisse´s paintings then began to fill my imagination and I ended up covering some canvases with plenty of colors .
In the sequence of my work I discovered the pleasure of free hand drawing almost not concerned with forms or figures . Cartoon-like figures began to develop all of a sudden. Only then did I discover that my painting was becoming Naive.The more I paint naive art the more I like it.
